Hey Guys! this is perhaps my final post while im in Singapore. lols. its gonna be get really busy starting from tomorrow when i start mugging real HARD for the exams.

haha im a late bloomer what can i say haha! even in studying =P haha. i know its a REALLY BAD habit but it gets to me quite alot haha.

Been thinking alot lately, after watching FlyWheel last Sat at church, it set me thinking about many issues in my life and i've got to admit theres some areas of my life in which i've not acknowledged God in. Coincidentally the verse that was mentioned in the show, proverbs 3:5-6

really struck me as it was something i brushed off the night before when i decided to read it on my laptop wallpaper.

yea, i guess its something im really praying about. this whole week was filled was so many distractions and TEMPTATIONS TO EAT! argh! lols! oooohhh man, all the CNY goodies are still lying around my house haha.

haha well, i had better get back to studying if i'm going to be able to go to Shanghai in peace.

well, i guess its not too long now before i say goodbye for awhile! ahha, at first it started off with a call which i was reluctant to answer. the person on the other line was none other than the one who saved me from this life of misery and sadness. He asked me to go, i asked: "where?" He replied: "China". i thought why? why of all places China when i couldnt even speak the language well and with all that completely unaware of what to do or say but a soft at first reluctant reply, "yes,i will go" there were interviews upon interviews, forms upon forms before where i stand and am today. yes i'm going to china, shanghai to be exact to work.

at first, it was oh wow! its gonna be fun, till they told me sorry no accomadations, no food, nothing and oh you have to process your Visa, your Exit Permit, Your Air Tickets and of course please pack your baggage for below 20kg =). Yes its not too bad, im still Smiling, why? u might ask when i can be in singapore, which i've been offered a place here for 6 months. well i guess thats obedience, no matter what happens i'm not giving up because He never gave up on me.

well enough of the "oh So Sad" sorta feeling! hahah, its gonna be fun =D. things are going to be done independantly and so on and so forth, but yes ill miss all of you guys dearly haha. And oh, from what i know ill be leaving near end Feb. and just Aik Leng said, same here those words "from where i stand right now, thats not long from now". well thats the same meaning but not necessarily the same words hahah =D

i actually wanted to keep to the last minute, as hush as possible but somehow i jsut couldn't ya know? i dont know. to think that i'd be away for this period of time just left me kinda uneasy inside abit, so viola here it is. all better ha.

haha, I've been quite busy this whole time i guess and i really couldn't find the time to blog. haha Opportunity Cost =D, well that is the Benefit must outweigh the cost of doing this activity ha! so today is finally that day so viola!

the time is pretty hard to bear, but i guess its a golden opportunity for me to straighten out what i want as well as whether to write the final chapter for one of the stories in my life. i've been dragging it a little too long, even when it seems bleak but somehow theres that something that keeps me holding on.

Heyy, haven't been Blogging lately due to all the hustle and bustle thats been going on lately.

So yup heres some updates.

DEC 8th - 9th
Church! haha, todays the first time i see the mission trippers =D haha! sorry guys, i couldn't send you guys off and recieve you back this yr! Im really glad that you guys really growed alot in this trip! the testimonies you guys shared are ever so encouraging. indeed what is healing if there is no salvation.

The greatest gift in this lifetime one could ever have, is Salvation =D

really really missed you guys loads! haha..

Tried a new method whilst ushering today =D haha! its easier though it puts a strain on your back haha! makes the many stacks of 12 chairs in service ... more mangable =p haha!

so yea, after service... IT OFF to JONS ! u can pretty much guess what we did there. lols! playing cards and stuff. ROAR! i have rotten luck when it comes to black jack! i always get the king, rarely the ace.

slept at about 4am.. SLEEPING WAS a little hassle as well! hHAHAH!, four guys in a house -.- fighting over pillows, where to sleep and the whole works. ROAR!!! haha! while w were tau-poking marvin, i gt stuck under the bed siaaaa! wthhh HAHAHA!! when jon stacked on top lols!

DEC 6th
haha, never once had i experienced this kind of celebration before. Jona u guys are gayyyyyyishly Good actors and script writers! roarr!

what actually happened was that, the guys were supposed to be meeting for prayer meeting ha as well as the so called "birthday tradition" we have it for all the guys! lols. those involved were: Kevin, Evan, Marcus, Jonathan.

Bsd was over and i was in sort of a rather tired and perplexed. cuz i was thinking whether i should be actually having this tonight when i have 500 slides to cover by the following day. just as those thoughts crossed my mind

Jona called me: " hey nick, my aunt abruptly came over and she said my mum told her to come over to bring me out for dinner! sorry man! i'll make it up to you man! sorry sorryy!".



ha! jona, you know when you said that, my heart really sank man! haha, i was literally emo-ing alrdy la! so a little after that, kevin came over and so i guess that wasn't too bad =D haha! SO what'd ya know...


Marc calls me with his super serious striaght face tone: "Nick, my friend in the hospital now. im going down to see him and a little later settle things with the other party".


and you thought it wouldnt get any worse! so kev and me slacked off a little while, i was wondering why he wanted to go swim so badly.... so yea a little while later i gave in.


and DANG! and just when i was about to put down my stuff and swim, Shaffiq distracted me with a wave... he was grinning from ear to ear, at that point i was wondering why is he going that?

and out of no where : "NOWWWWWWWWWW" and someone got my from the back... and i thought it was kevin then eh -.- hes in front of me... so whos that behind me.


next thing i knew... i was in the pool -.- ROARRR!! hahah, so thats whr jona and marc were before that -.- haha! so yea dinner and a night party after that till abt 3am.



Thanks guys, haha... although uncanny but it was super funny ha! and oh, kev was so emo that he lost his stussy rubber ring, so we went to the guard house and borrowed a bamboo pole to fish it out of the pool.(as for how i got there... ASK HIM! haha)


DEC 4th
haha yup yup my birthday! =D thank you guys for those who wished me happy birthday! haha and yup yup, thank you Kaixin for Dinner the night before. Couldn't say i really enjoyed my birthday this year due to the various events that were so tightly packed around it.


the presentation for BSD was in two days and my mad ordeal with the Diploma plus - Economics paper was HELL! those who took it must have felt the same way after reading 500+ slides for ONLY 4 chapters. yeap.


well if there were things to take note of, it would be the dinner with my parents =D haha! we went to this really awesome place, though its new(2mnths old) and most definitely in our hearts we would be somewhat reluctant to dine there especially it be at a neighbourhood place. but i guess God had other plans in store.


the place was really went above my standards, never did i expect such fine class dining and food. the thing i took note most of was the UTMOST Impeccable Service provided, yes when i say it i really mean it. it rare to see me say such things haha!


To Say the least not that the dinner was good enough already with the italian delicacy, Squid Ink pasta coupled with many interesting dishes, one wouldn't expect much more from a night like that.

but you know what, the owner of the restaurant really went out of her way to celebrate my birthday for me! that was something truly memorable! haha. as for how, ask me! ahha


well i would really love to recommend you the place, its called La Noce. They serve wonderful italian food! its at No. 3 Chu Lin Road, Singapore 669890 (aft Hillview Avenue). do try it if you have the money to spare and the time.

looking back at where we first met.

after reading some posts about the past, i cant help but miss the good old days which now seem like a ever so fleeting dream, cuz all of us have our cliques and stuff now.


one thing i have to agree with is that we're definitely drifting apart, sometimes its due to the fact that some issues that have happened in the past year which have changed our attitudes and ways we see each other.


If theres one thing i hate its wearing a mask, everytime i try to take it off... events, circumstances and happenings dampen my spirits and forces me to put on that mask again so much so sometimes i just give up trying and not say anything at all.

and yea, school is definitely not like it used to be with all the changes in classes and sometimes politics, gossiping. rare per say but none the less it still happens. this is not directed at anyone, its just my thoughts.

food poisoning ytd. all thanks to the wonderful noodles i cooked HAHAHA!!! i wish i didn't eat lunch b4 going to church LOLS!! IF ONLY IF ONLY i didn't mix the egg in the soup IF ONLY IF ONLY the egg was cooked, i wouldn't have the feverish feeling. IF ONLY is the one thing i don't regret. I'm Glad it happened.

NO DUH! School starts on mon and i know my body very well. whenever i get that feeling i go down for 3 days straight. Well God had other plans, i really gotta thank Him for that. At the time when june was sharing about Bondage breaker, i was feeling better after praying but still it was lingering around. right up to the point i reached home.

Of course i still continued praying but the heat was like continuously spreading, to be honest it felt like deja vu all over again. just like the time when i first entered into God's presence, i was sick as well mind you! LOLS! and its the same food poisoning haha!

so the SCARY THING WAS that i REMEMBERED THE BEE i was talking to kaixin about the night before and IT NEVER LEFT MY ROOM! then i heard the buzzing sound... SHUCKS! what is it doing in my room at this point of time. and before i knew it. I CAUGHT SOMETHING ON MY NECK! YUCKS!

IT WAS THE STINKING BEE!!! well of course i threw i with all my "remaining" strength and the rest was history. the sting was still on according to my mum who came in later LOLS! thank God for that.

and yups! WOKE UP TODAY AND TADA! im well again! THANK GOD FOR THAT! hahah!

haha, i never thought i'd miss working... i guess its pretty boring to be at home during the holidays. but well yea, i guess i'll be working next week tgt with gladys and oli, well see how it goes ha. if i do work, its gonna be the first time working as a so called camp "teamleader" or something like that for kids haha @ american club hah! sounds like fun though so why not! hah.

Hahah working at OCBC is truly fun and enriching experience, i really learnt alot about loads of stuff, some which i cant say but yup, some take backs that i feel that i truly benefitted from was the courage i gained after contacting various people and attending loads of meetings and taking minutes etc. the thing about it was that most of them were VPs from other departments which was TRULY TRULY scary! if u asked me to call a bank officer i'd be like ok... but VP! omgosh! not one but many lols. this month has really been a really meaningful one, working together with them at OCBC not forgetting jackson, jiasheng, kenny & kh! haha.... sometimes i cant imagine working alone, it would be rather boring to do so but yea, IAP would leave me with no choice haha. unless we all go back to OCBC to work again haha. I love it there, although sometimes or lets say i always finish work so quickly (quality hor!) that i would be left with nth to do for quite a while.


Yup, on the last day we really got to know our supervisors a whole lot more haha. They Lunched with us at Botan haha, a jap restaurant. really cool place. i still remember jiasheng was so enthusiastic in approaching the waitress! hahah!


Jiasheng: " is she from singapore?" and a whole lot more... hahah ! HE ACTUALLY ASKED HER.... the same happened at toast box LOLS!! i think the toast box waitress was thinking: " hmmm i think this guy is INTERESTED IN ME! why didn't he ask for my number?" HAHAH!!!


Very fun workin at OCBC! im gonna miss the work & the Recreational club hahah ! lols! but yea, nothing beats working with your friends hahah! cuz without them, nothings really fun anyway =D

ooh yea, i finally made up my mind on one thing after ages of contemplation, im nt gonna be working in the next two weeks. REST is more important, hmm i sometimes wonder why i'm so indecisive about such matters.


you know sometiems i just wonder why, when your gut feeling tells you its nt right being around some people, you still do and you end up feeling hurt. i guess sometimes its the trust factor that prevents us from showing who we really are and letting our guard down, that might be the same for most of us.


but yea, i thank God for my pals that stuck with me through thick and thin.

Another friday

Todays the last day of my "internship" hahah! had a long lunch with my superiors haha. pretty fun people lols! its alot of fun working with them.


the week was great except for thurs. the day of the 5 factors. never thought i'd experience a day like that. well theres a first for everything. that day has gotta be my worst day ever experienced. the many events on thursday really set me thinking about my life right now. Is that the way i truly want to live. i find myself putting on so many masks that i forget which one is the real me.


To be honest, there are only a handful of people who have really seen me for who i am. well enough of that. That was an " emo" moment brought to you by Nick TV. thanks for tuning in.


ha, now come s the big question that i have been pondering about throughout the whole week, SHOULD I WORK AWAY MY HOLS! part of me says yes, part of me says no. i dont need the money, the experience is what i need and its good but yea, im feeling lazy after the whole thing. anw i gt until tmr to decide. not long though.

well i can't say this week was smashing though, pretty much ups and downs but Thank God for the week anyway! hahaha! lols my mum told me this morning while driving in the car, TGIF! Thank God its Friday haha! yea, friday is awesome.


at OCBC, the guys in my department dont get to dress down on fridays, pretty sad or maybe not. i guess its cuz they want us to look good everyday =D haha! kidding! nothing happens for a coincidence right? haha! finally we got our project done today! yays. We finished a report in 2 days lols! pretty Sweet report. wouldn't have been possible without all our efforts, great leadership as usual from jackson.


i learnt an interesting lesson today, its better to have a group with all leaders than one with only 1 leader. it might seem like nonsense but in actual fact, it does make some sense as leaders fuel the ideas and get things done faster, wheras a group with only one leader would mean all the group mates relying on that one. If you dont get it, i'd be glad to explain haha!


point is, thats how my group is haha! its not a bad thing though, we drive results hahah! really hope that the selection for IS next monday will go smooth with the company's computer which lags like mad when u refresh it.


I guess i finally understand why some guys value their career over their girls, its probably the sense of achievement and recognition that make them go for such a path instead. well then again, it wouldn't hurt to have balance of both. in fact, its better. i cant wait to drive....


many familiar faces at OCBC this time around haha. kenny's friends and i think i saw monica, dont know which floor she's working on though haha. many fun things to do there, i can't imagine working without friends. but i guess its an inevitable fact of life in the future, you have to adapt and make new friends i guess.

Friday Night FEVA!

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, its been a cruelly long week but im glad to say that FRIDAY takes the cruel out of the picture. work went on for quite a bit. well one thing i didn't expect to happen was that i'd be having a meeting in a table tennis room =D oh what fun it was haha!!

Jon and I Celebrated Evan's Birthday today =D HAHAH!! It was a smashing good time out with the guys! haha...just hanging out with ur brothers is the best thing any guy could probably do, apart from your girlfriend/wife that is. if u are attached...U need to spend time with them! thats when u cut down slightly to have time for them. But hey! Life with the Bros are really fun =)
Its because theres never a dull moment.


We went to Aijisan Ramen for Dinner =D courtesy of the birthday boy. lets see.... upcoming birthday jon =D another treat ! WHEE!! then its gonna be my birthday. We actually planned on watching a movie but all the shows were scheduled at around 9+ so we decided to go to ben and jerries haha! some place i never thought we 3 would go haha!


thats where the patriotic side of us shined through... we ate the "merlion" package. i forgot the name to be exact. all i remembered was the picture of a what seemed to be merlion and the 6 ice-creams and the sweet deal. hahah!
